Right now I am back at home. I’ve been home 4 months and it hasn’t been easy. I am currently working and trying to save to get back on the road soon.
It was being arrested for Driving While Intoxicated; I was 23 and my life was a mess, but thought partying every night of the week was the life. After being arrested, sent to jail and dealing with it for 19 months, it changed my world for the better. If it wasn’t for that I know I wouldn’t be who I am today.
Oh man, La Tomatina is both one of the most amazing days of your life, but also the worst. You have so much fun throwing the tomatoes around and being knee deep in tomatoes as well, but what no one tells you is that it’s going to be hot, you are going to be surrounded by 100s of people and you will almost die a few times.
Looking for La Tomatina tips? Look no further, he’s a master!
Oh you’re going to fall in love with Chefchaouen! My tips… spend a week or more. Just get lost in the calm life of the town and while you are there also get lost in the town itself. Walk walk and walk every where . Also be sure to see the sunset from the hill top; it’s a view of the town that will leave you in AWE!!! It’s a small town with not much to do but enjoy it…. so be sure to do just that.
Completing my 2 year backpacking trip around the world. Sometimes I lay in bed and just don’t believe it happened. I lay there wondering was it real, how did I possibly do it? I can’t wrap my mind around the thought of what I did. It’s something so many people dream of but never do. To have actually done it and survived and inspired others to do something similar is the biggest accomplishment I have done in my life.
I get that often and it’s something I appreciate every time I hear it. I want people to think that when they read my blog. I want people to know I am being 100%; I am being me. I feel like some of my loyal readers know me more than my friends and family, because I have put it all out there on my blog. That’s how I wish more blogs were, but they aren’t.
Travel blogging changed my life. When I was planning this I didn’t have much support from friends and family at home. When I became a part of the travel blogging community it was like becoming part of a family. Like a family it has a lot of drama, but I just try and ignore it all and do my thing. I never really got caught up in all of it and will continue to not do so. I don’t worry about what anyone is doing and just do as I please. I let people focus on whatever they want. For me it’s to be honest and hope my readers enjoy it.
Everything… the Sahara Desert, the ancient history, the beaches, the food, the people, the street art & the revolution!!!
Meeting new people that are just as amazing.
In front of everyone at a hostel. Yes I was wasted!
Vodka-7 or any beer!
FOLLOW YOUR GUT!!! Yes that right there will save you from so much trouble. 99% of the time it’s just right and we can never explain how that happens, but it happens.
Right now I am trying to save for another adventure. I’d love to do South America, Australia and more of Africa this time around, but another part of me would just love to go back to Egypt and live there a few more years. I’m so lost yet so found, it’s a mess!!!
To continue to share my story and inspire more people to be HAPPY.
